Burned Out...

I have been feeling it coming for the past week now...but yesterday evening it came upon me full force. I am in full  "burned out" mode! After months of multitasking and getting inadequate sleep, juggling Tara during the day and painting/business stuff at night...it hit me last night. I could feel it in the lack of energy I had, just going through the motions and feeling BLAH and overwhelmed! So for the next couple of days I am going to take a hiatus from computer/blog/painting/business stuff. Not even think about it at all! Tara and I are going to enjoy each other...have a tea party, read Alice in Wonderland, lollygag in bed and sing at the top of our lungs, soak in the tub and sit under a fat moon with citronella candles and a blanket of stars. For the next 2 days I am going to catch up on some easy reading, go to bed at a reasonable hour and just...be present. Happy weekend to you all.

Rest well Soraya, and the time-out with your daughter sounds wonderful I've been "doing" alot and not been simply "being" enough. Need to simply "be" more.

Excellent idea Soraya! I'm not surprised you are feeling burned out with all that you have on your plate at the moment. Enjoy!

You are a wise woman, Soraya - first of all owning up to your feelings, recognizing them for what they are and making some positive plans to do something about it. You will feel refreshed nd energized on the other side - I know it!! Enjoy!!

i know you won't read this for a few days ... but i am also declaring August as my time for a silent retreat! Of course, I can never be silent! But i too am aware of needing to draw in, be still, let things flow and not analyze or prepare things for public consumption. (i wrote this earlier in the week: http://dandelionseedsanddreams.blogspot.com/2010/07/weekly-reflection-week-29-standing.html - interesting parallels!)

sounds like a great plan. we just spent 3 hours at the pool and had a lazy dinner. we need this time to unwind.

enjoy your sweet one and time to relish each moment!

Sounds as if you are burnt out my friend. You are very busy and sometimes we don't realise that we need to step back and rethink our lives until..it hits us like a brick wall. You sound as if you are doing the right thing. I have been in the same place and l understand how you feelx

This sounds so wonderful! I've been in a similar place myself of needing some quiet peaceful downtime. I hope you've enjoyed every moment.
