These past few weeks have brought so many changes (both internal and external) and I am learning so much! Flying Lessons has really propelled me closer to my vision plus I am doing so many things I have had in my heart for so long...Setting up my website (myself!!!)...something I never would of imagined a few months ago!...So here are a few things I am learning along the creative path...along life's journey, really.
1. Honor my challenges. As I am learning to honor all parts of my journey, this one has been the most ...well, challenging! But what I am discovering is that it is the toughest parts of our journey that bring the most growth, that contain magical gifts of inner strength, fortitude, clarity. It is the most difficult times that forge soul strength.
2. Express my gratitude. Feel it in my heart, write it out, shout it out! I have so much to be grateful for...Every day that I can hug my Tara, love Tim, paint, feel the wind against my face is...a blessing.
3. Believe in mySELF. This has always been so difficult for me. It is only now that I am fully starting to appreciate and really believe in my abilities, vision, strengths. I have always been such a perfectionist (fear in disguise!) but now I am realising that I don't have to know everything or do everything perfectly. I just have to do my best.
4. Have a vision and do something small each day toward it.
5. Be mySELF-there is only one me. Be authentic.
6. Time management-so important! Enough said.
7. Take time to replenish mySELF. Read, hot baths, a cup of tea...all do wonders!
8. Pay attention to the longings of my heart.
9. Surround myself with community and kindred souls. Blogging has really been a joy and a blessing. Yes, sometimes I get "bloggers block" but...it has opened me up to a whole new world of creative souls.
10. Joy, love, grace...try to inject them into every moment.

I can't believe the personal growth that has come out of Flying Lessons- I don't ever want them to end!
I would love to feature you in one of my Make My Monday interviews. I will be gone in July so I'm trying to get them all done before I leave. Please email me at
leslieackman@yahoo.com
if you would like to do this!! I will then email you questions!!
Thank you so very much!
You always remind me the important things on this creative path, I tend to forget when life overwhelmes me with challenges.
On my last trip to India, I was probably 15, that's 10 years ago. I dreamt of Taj Mahal after coming back from the trip. If I go again it'll probably be a pilgrimage, visits to temples. But will have to save up first, not so soon.
And do keep sharing your inspirations with your faithful readers!
Looking forward to seeing your website. Something I've been a bit nervous of doing but now I know who to ask about it :-)
Thanks for sharing your lessons, Soraya. We all learn so much from each other in the blog world.
Hi, Soraya. I love your lessons and love how you are sharing your heart. You are right - I think that Flying Lessons has had huge reverberating effects, much more than anyone (even Kelly Rae)ever anticipated. Sure has taken me by surprise!! So glad that I found you and found your blog!!
Yes, Yes and Yes! I love your list. I too am learning to fly - little by little!
It's been wonderful to see you blooming over the past month. Yay You!! You're a true inspiration.
Dearest soraya, this is yet another wonderful inspiring post! I love reading it and your words are beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts with us! Have a lovely merry happy weekend and love to you!
Now, do you remember awhile back contemplating quitting your blog? Sometimes the toughest hurdles appear just before major breakthroughs!
It is exciting ... and a privilege ... to witness you on this amazing journey.
I am just home from a vacation and scrambling to get back into my routine and catch up! I have so much on Flying Lessons to read. Have you joined the Facebook group? That is next on my to-do list. I feel a little out of touch with the group and want to connect before it is officially "gone."
Have a lovely holiday weekend!
