our day in pics

"I don't know exactly what a prayer is.
I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down
into the grass, how to kneel down in the grass,
how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields,
which is what I have been doing all day.
Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?"
-Mary Oliver

*on our morning walk...it really is this green over here!

*at the park. Tara loves climbing!

*string painting in her art class...
I had a gazillion and one things to do today-but I woke up and decided to "stroll through the fields" with my Tara... gaze at the sky, absorb her fleeting baby-ness and just be.

I was just asking a friend about Mary Oliver today! She was from Maple Hts., Ohio very near where I live and where my friend grew up as well. I love her work. And, I love your precious photos too!

That was your best decision of the day, Soraya!

Hi Soraya, Your post brought a smile to my face! Tara is so cute with her ponytail and the flower in her hair. It brings back memories. I used to love climbing and painting when I was a child! (and still do actually). Love the quote too! Wini xo
