overwhelm!!

"Invent your world. Surround yourself with people, color, sounds, and work that nourish you."
                                                                                                                             -SARK
These past few weeks have been...intense and I am on the verge of burnout and overwhelm! Keeping up with Tara all day (morning walks + daily park visits + classes + all the shenanigans of the terrible twos...) and then putting my studio together, blogging, painting, dealing with personal struggles and loss...I am exhausted! I wish I could just lollygag all day, watch nothing but Oprah and eat bonbons:) But until then...I am just trying to take it easy over here...lots of self care (hot bubble baths, tea and writing in my journal). At least for a few days! I have emails to get to, blogs to visit...so many projects to do. I will get to it...I promise.

Soraya - there are these times, especially when you have a toddler, that you feel overwhelmed and completely exhausted. It's good that you're taking care of yourself like you described - those projects can wait! Make your self and your family your priority at the moment - the emails and blogs will still be there in a few days or weeks. Take all the time you need.

i do know how you feel - life seems to rush past me at an amazingly fast speed and i find it hard to even catch my breath. right now i am looking forward to summer (when i am off work) and trying to fight the temptation to fill it up with plans.

I'm right there with ya - sometimes it just all to much. We all need time to think and rejuvenate, regroup and calm our minds. That's me right now also.

Dear Soraya, I'm with Carola!! Do what you need to do - none of the other stuff is urgent! I do know what you mean, tho - I feel guilty when I get behind on things like that, but funny thing is, no one seems to notice but me!! It will all happen in good time. Oh - I have that quote on my facebook page - love it!!

I hope your days begin to slow down for you....

Hang in there Soraya. I agree with Carola.... Take your time without feeling pressure to answer emails etc. If we lived closer I would love to babysit Tara while you take a day off to completely relax. I imagine she is a little dynamo :-)
