A "Precious" Performance Gets Gold!

A "Precious"  performance gets gold! I am SO happy that Monique won the Oscar for best supporting actress in Precious. Her acting was so stunning, so believable...she BECAME Mary. This was no Hollywood performance...this was acting in the sense of theatre and high art. She has been able to reconcile those pieces of pain, experience, talent, intellect, artistic sensibilities and pour her soul into this part. She was a victim of incest and has been quite open about it-so for her to play the part of the abuser...she was able to take all the pain and mine it into gold (literally and figuratively) . Her performance had such a depth and character...I am so proud of her! Congratulations Monique!!
