(Tara-a few days old)
(Tara-a few days ago @ 18 months)
I am just amazed at how fast my little baby is growing! Even though I spend every moment with her and really immerse myself in her...baby-nesss...I can't keep up with her! I know that everyone says "time just flies by and before you know it, they are adults" but I don't think you can really be prepared for it. Tara is doing something new every day... she is growing up to be such a wonderful little girl full of sparkle and energy. She is loving, curious, rough and tumble and okay...a little uh...over indulged! Tomorrow I am going to turn one of my kitchen cupboards into her little play area. I am going to put all sorts of little toys and containers and interesting things to keep her busy and amazed. She loves strawberries, steamed veggies, baby yogurt and cheese. Her fave activity is "reading"...she wants me to read to her constantly. I think if I sing "Mary had a little lamb" one more time, I'm going to go a little kooky:) Her newest trick is spitting whenever she doesn't get her way. I am trying "time-outs" which don't seem to be working! But seriously though...I am so grateful to be her mom and to witness her life unfold. My heart just fills with such joy and love...motherhood wraps me up in love.

both of you are so so beautiful :) oh, tara is going to have so much fun in her new play area.
Being a mom is the best:)
I have an award waiting for you on my blog.
I love how you celebrate motherhood & your love for your daughter. I know exactly how you feel. Motherhood has fulfilled me & blessed my life beyond measure. Like you I can't believe how quickly they grow up! I wish babyhood could last just a little longer. They are so sweet & innocent., just pure love!
Thanks for your wonderfully loving & supportive comment at my blog. I wish we could do the blogging ecourse together but I understand how busy you must be. Will you be going out to visit your husband soon or will he be visiting you? It must be getting harder & harder to be apart. My hubby & I dated long distance & I know how hard it can be emotionally. I hope you're taking good care of yourself!
It's a wonderful time! I enjoyed the first years with my daughter so very much (well, I've never stopped enjoying her). She's the biggest gift I've ever received. Yes, they do grow up lightning fast, but WHAT A JOY !!! I like the idea of Tara's new play area!
Your daughter will grow to be a wonderful darling, I just know it- because you're such a beautiful woman and mother!
